User and Role Management pertains to various activities involved in dealing with users and roles. This is also referred as User provisioning which caters to creation, maintenance, and deactivation of user objects and user attributes.
The User Manager provides an interface to manage users, roles and associated attributes. It facilitates you to assign privileges to Process Platform users. As a user, you will have permissions through various roles to work in an organization. Further, you can assign tasks and teams to users and govern their operation.

Note: It is recommended not to use the same role for administration activities and application development. Create new users with application specific roles. This customization prevents security leaks.
Example: Do not use System Admin role for developing or accessing applications as this role is generally used for administration activities such as installing an application.
